What is m3u8?

m3u8 is the playlist file of the HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) protocol, pointing to a sequence of small .ts video segments for live or on-demand playback.

Why do some videos fail to load?

Many sources block cross-origin (CORS) requests or require authentication; the player then shows 'load failed'. That's a source-side restriction, not a tool bug — try another public stream that allows CORS.

Which browsers are supported?

All modern browsers. Safari / iOS play HLS natively; other browsers use a built-in hls.js fallback.

Do I need a plugin or account?

No. This player is fully client-side — just paste an m3u8 / HLS URL and play.
