FAQ
How does this DNS lookup get its records?
Your browser calls public DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) services directly to resolve the domain — queries never pass through this site's server. The default “Auto” mode prefers resolvers with broad reachability and falls back to Google / Cloudflare automatically; you can also pick a resolver manually.
What's the difference between an A record and a CNAME?
An A record points a domain to an IPv4 address, AAAA to IPv6; a CNAME is an alias pointing one domain to another. MX records name mail servers, and TXT records commonly verify domain ownership.
Why are no records found sometimes?
The domain may genuinely have no records of that type, the domain may not exist (NXDOMAIN), or your network cannot reach the chosen DoH service. Check the spelling and retry.
How does “All records” work?
It queries A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS and SOA — seven types at once — merges the results into one table sorted by type, so you can see a domain's full DNS picture in one shot.
